Our approach

Our aims and approach to care

At Bonehill Lodge we intend to provide our residents with a comfortable and happy home suited to their own individual needs.  We pride ourselves on providing exceptionally high standards of care from qualified and experienced staff, having more carers on duty than at most other care homes.  This means that our home is always staffed to enable us to meet our residents' needs, 24 hours a day.  We aim to preserve dignity and self-respect at all times and strive to adopt a unique and forward thinking approach to dementia care.  Before accepting anyone into our home, we carry out a full assessment of their needs, welcoming male or female residents of 55 years and over.

We aim to make day-to-day life in our home as fulfilling as possible for every individual resident.  At Bonehill Lodge, our core belief is to promote choice and independence within a loving and stimulating environment.  We value all of our residents' unique personalities and we strive at all times to recognise and appreciate their whole life achievements and their many contributions to their families, carers and to society in general.  Entertainment and activities are regularly organised for the residents and we place a high priority on targeting activities to our residents own individual needs.

We understand that moving into a care home can sometimes be a difficult and stressful process and strive to make the experience as easy as possible for our residents and their families.  Bonehill Lodge invites residents who are considering moving into a home to stay with us for a trial period, however short.  Once a resident has moved into our home, ongoing visits from family and friends are welcomed at any time.  To make visiting a relative or friend as easy as possible, overnight accommodation in our home can be arranged with meals available free of charge.
